Something new

This is just a test to see if this emailing post thing works. How exciting if it does as I can never remember my password to sign in to my blog. Quick moan from me, i'm trying to believe my mantra that 'illness is a state of mind', I will carry on regardless and all will be fine, isn't that how it works? It's what I was brought up on.

Wedding planning is very odd, I keep pushing it to the back of my mind, then remembering and thinking of things I should probably be doing right now, then push them to the back of my mind too. The back of my mind is a huge spacious cavity filled with little things bumping around, every now and then they pop to the surface. I like to hide them again. Perhaps I need to face them soon. Just 8 weeks to go now, time to panic yet? Think i'll give it another week at least.

Where did the time go.....

So, I haven't written very much for a while. Perhaps I haven't been able to think of what to write about, I've been telling myself that not much has happened of note but actually that's not true at all. LOTS has happened, all very good and very exciting I hasten to add. Where to start? For now I'm going to write a short list just to remind myself. I hope to revisit later today and embellish on some if not all items.
  • 2 weeks holidaying in a caravan in Croatia
  • Proposal, and acceptance :)
  • 1 evening spent outdoor ballet watching in Trafalgar Square
  • 1 evening spent outdoor theatre watching at Regents Park Open Air Theatre
  • 1 evening spent outdoor Lilly Allening at Somerset House
  • 1 week spent holidaying in a youth hostel in Germany
  • 1 weekend spent relaxing in Brighton
  • 1 day spent festivaling in Victoria Park, London
  • Time spent researching, organising and enjoying planning the day.

Looking forward.

  • 1 evening spent sampling at the GBBF
  • 1 weekend venturing northward, yeah!
  • 1 weekend venturing north-eastward - yeah!
  • 1 hen party - yeah!
  • 1 wedding day
  • 1 surprise 30th birthday present/honeymoon.

That's all for now. I wish I'd being doing more cooking and baking or knitting, but I haven't. I have however joined a book club which is great. I haven't quite mastered the art of contributing to the conversation but I LOVE reading the books. I will get there I am sure.

Feeling a bit like a grown up now.

Lovely weekend

I was going to write a big blurb about the lovely couple of days I have spent in Brighton with my sister. But that's it really, I had a lovely, lovely time. Even had a BBQ, an awesome BBQ on the beach in the drizzle.

Things I have learnt from Twitter so far today

  • You can access it from other places even when your access has been denied by the powers that be.
  • The next V&A Lates night will take place on Friday 24th April, challenging your view on sculpture (not sure if this one is for me, wished I had gone to the hat one but unfortunately I didn't have the time).
  • Stephen Fry has returned (from where ever he may have been).
  • Juliette Lewis will play at Club NME in May (with the New Romantiques).
  • Read about the Festival of Britain in 1951 and the importance of Leeds in the celebrations! Wish I'd been there it sounded like fun, particularly the Humpty Dumpty pantomime.
  • A very good friend of mine had some sort of 'sneezecoughing' episode.

There you go.

A reason to run

This is who I see when I run, I love them, on a sunny day there can be up to 6 or 7.
