Lovely weekend

I was going to write a big blurb about the lovely couple of days I have spent in Brighton with my sister. But that's it really, I had a lovely, lovely time. Even had a BBQ, an awesome BBQ on the beach in the drizzle.

Things I have learnt from Twitter so far today

  • You can access it from other places even when your access has been denied by the powers that be.
  • The next V&A Lates night will take place on Friday 24th April, challenging your view on sculpture (not sure if this one is for me, wished I had gone to the hat one but unfortunately I didn't have the time).
  • Stephen Fry has returned (from where ever he may have been).
  • Juliette Lewis will play at Club NME in May (with the New Romantiques).
  • Read about the Festival of Britain in 1951 and the importance of Leeds in the celebrations! Wish I'd been there it sounded like fun, particularly the Humpty Dumpty pantomime.
  • A very good friend of mine had some sort of 'sneezecoughing' episode.

There you go.

Alexandra Palace

The best thing about Alexandra Palace is the view, and on this particular day I went with my mum. However, I did not take any photos of the view or of my mum. So, this will have to do. Just a window (I'm not even sure it's a window), I thought it was nice. The building itself is strange. One half looks like it's been left to rot and the other houses an ice skating rink and a bar. We just enjoyed the view and then ventured to the boating lake for a coffee from the very busy, understaffed cafe. There was also a farmers market where we ate 'the best ever' croque monsieur. I didn't take a photo of this either so you'll just have to believe me. I think we were too busy gossiping and enjoying the sun to capture any of the lovely things we saw. A lovely afternoon.
